Hey all, just got an older black Lone Star Classic 2x12 50/100 watt for $599 that has the C90s in it.
I am in Redding California, new to the area and would love to take it to a good Tech to have it inspected for any issues. Music store I got it from let me try it and it seems to work fine.
But here are my bigger questions...
1. Reeder mod needed/recommended?
2. Is this amp basically a modded Twin/Pro Reverb on steroids?
3. What is a good attenuation unit that works great for this beast?
4. Should I go to the gym and work out more so I can lift this beast over my head???

Yes you did score big time. Even a better deal than the blue 2005 LSC 1x12 I got for $650. I've never done any mods to mine and I'm satisfied with it. I run both channels at 100 watts and it sounds great at any volume. I don't find a need for an attenuator. Each channel has its own master volume and there is the global master volume (output). One of the best reverbs I've heard although I wish the controls weren't hidden in the back. You won't need to go to the gym--just keep lifting that beast instead.

If you don't have a manual, download one here: https://mesa-boogie.imgix.net/media/User%20Manuals/Lonestar.pdf
