Hey guys. really need some quick help here. - gig coming up soon.
Lonestar 2x12 1993
The clean channel has suddenly lost 60% of its power.
doesn't seem to respond to the output control at all.
The drive channel works normally.
I've replace the AX7's in slots V1 and V2 and the V3 - FX loop.

I notice the big 5U4 is not lighting up.
could that be the culprit?

A Lone Star from 1993? I think you mean 2003 when the first duo-class came out.

When using the 50 watt setting the rectifier tube is used so its possible its defective. But when using the 100 watt setting with the silicon diode the amp should work normal because the r-tube is bypassed? On the other hand, if the drive channel is working normally and the clean channel not their could be another issue?

Swap the r-tube and maybe this solves the issue. If not you should contact Mesa Boogie support. Good luck!
