Owned my LSS for just a few weeks. Bought new but 'old stock' (it's two years old). Used it for maybe an hour at home.

Shortly after start-up today the main fuse blew. When I replaced it I found the amp seemed to work fine apart from the 5w position on the lead channel. As I switched to that the sound just faded out to nothing.

I tried methodically replacing the preamp tubes with a known good one but no change. Since I didn't have any spare power tubes I tried various combinations of swaps in the hope I cold move the problem and maybe identify a bad one. No joy.

Any thoughts or guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Apologies, guys. A little research around the forum and I discovered it was the rectifier valve (it was in fact the 5 and 15w settings that weren't working). Had a spare in another amp and now all's well.

Sorry for the unnecessary thread.
