Lonestar Classic dimensions

Post by Suave Eddie » Thu May 14, 2015 2:09 pm

I have a Lonestar Classic v.1. 1x12.
I love the amp -- it's the best sounding amp I've ever had.

At 72 lb. it's cumbersome enough, but the cabinet seems oversize which is even worse. I don't understand why it couldn't fit into a Mark size cab. Is this part of the Lonestar sound? Would it lose some of it's voice in a smaller cab?

Yes! Size matters with cab cubic volume.

I had a 2x12. Heavy as hell. I pulled the guts out and made a head shell out of maple. Now I have a head and a 2x12 open back cab. Worked out well. Cost me about $180 in materials.
