I recently acquired a used Lonestar Classic.
The other day I was replacing the power tubes and I noticed something strange. behind the two middle tube slots is a long Phillips screw hanging down and it looks like there was definitely something attached there at one time. The amp appears to be functioning perfectly. Does anyone know what this screw is for and if I should be concerned at all?

Thanks.

I posed this question to Mesa and here is the reply:

"That is called the tension screw and is completely normal in the amp. The screw has been hand tightened here at the factory to help minimize buzzes and rattles between the chassis and the cabinet."

So I am a bit relieved to know that there is nothing missing as it appears to be.

I should of posted this a couple of days ago. It's a sticky post from the modern amps section. The screw is common in many of Boogie's amps.
