Searched the boards, couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. I am replacing a blown speaker in my Lonestar Classic, and was wondering what people do when replacing the speaker, do they use the existing stock speaker cable attached to the original speaker? Or do you buy something new? I haven't found exactly what I am looking for to replace it, i.e. a 1/4 inch right angle plug that terminates in either spade connectors or bare wire.

I could make one myself I guess, just wondering what others have done. Thanks.

Fender makes such a cable, don't remember if it comes longer than 13".
It's the stock cable in Blues Jr.'s, etc.
Some call them spade connectors, some call them "faston".
Search "fender combo speaker cable" on eBay, you'll get results.

George L's sells them with clips. You can also make one yourself. Just go buy a 10 ft speaker cable at the store and cut it in 1/2. This way you'll have 2 ends in case you need an extra. You can either solder it on, or put clips on. Clips are not ideal, BUT, if a solder job fails before a gig you might be sunk. That's why I carry the extra cable.

I ruined a C-90 speaker soldering in a new one. Better get a harness.

Solder the old one on if you feel like your comfortable soldering.
