Questions about using LSS purely as a power amp

The manual explains how to use the Effects Return as an Input for this, but I've never done it.
I'm curious if any of you use yours this way.
Does that mean I could run the Emulated Line Out from my Marshall 1-watt head into it for more volume, effectively turning my 1-watt head into a 30-watter?
Run a modeling FX pedal into it to bypass the LSS preamp?
Just wondering if there are other applications for this feature I'm unaware of but might want to try.

After googling around the interwebs for more info, I decided to try it last night.
Ran the DSL1 Loop Send into the LSS Loop Return.

Worked like a charm, though the resulting sound is doubled a bit with a slight delay since I had to keep the speaker load hooked up to the DSL to avoid frying it, and you have to keep the level up on the DSL to give the LSS a good signal, thus you're always hearing sound from both amps/speakers.

Wondering if using the DSL Emulated Line Out would be a better way to go, assuming that won't hurt the speaker. But I THINK that's what Emulated is designed to allow. The tiny, four-page brochure Marshall calls an Owner's Manual doesn't exactly go into detail on this, so off I go to google again.

Next up, both amps at once with an A/B/Y box maybe.
It's a sickness I tell you!
