Dear gurus...please advise:

My Lonestar is 'crunching out' when i play at any volume. Like the sound disappears a little and kind of makes a crunchy sound when it does. I've tried new cord and guitar and its still the same. Its almost like its getting too much signal to process...any ideas?

please help i need to fix asap!

Maybe time for tubes. I would check preamp first. Get a known good preamp ube and swap it in and out of each position and see if it goes away each time you swap

took it to the man and tested the tubes...they seemed to be okay, but he put in a few new ones. i couldn't seem to reproduce the crunch...time will tell.

Is the effects loop in or set to hard bypass?

we just seem to get a few posts with problems that are cured with cleaning the jack sockets on the loop
