Removing grill on 5:50 plus head to replace tubes

Post by Dondante » Sat May 06, 2017 4:18 pm

I took the four front screws out and the grill doesnt budge. All other Mesa amps I've owned had the preamp tubes in the back. These are in the front and need to get to them next week when my Doug's set comes in.

The grille is set in a kind of adhesive rubbery gasket that eliminates vibration. You don't need to remove it anyway, remove the 4 screws that hold the top straps and slide the whole thing out
Electrics: Collings City Limits Deluxe / PRS Mira (core Korina), CE24 (2006 original), Studio (2012 new)
Acoustics: Ovation 1778T Elite (underrated!)
Amps: Mesa TA-15 / Mesa ElectraDyne 1x12 Wide / Roland GA-112 / Genz Benz Diablo 60
