Mesa 5:50 Issue

Post by guitarman1956 » Tue Aug 19, 2014 9:31 pm

I bought and received a used 5:50. While jamming on it about 5 minutes in, it goes silent.
I've swapped out all power and preamp tubes.
Cleaned the tube sockets.

I can't seem to get V2 tube to light up at all. Will this keep the the amp from working?

Thanks for your help

Might be the tube socket itself. I would take it to an amp tech, or contact Mesa directly.

tube socket probably, take it to a tech and don't fiddle with it if you don't know what you're doing...

How old is the amp? Mesa's warranty is transferable depending on who you bought the amp from.
