Hi All,

I have a studio .22 in great shape that I've had for about 7 years.

It's an excellent amp. However, I rarely employ the lead mode because of the volume difference.

For those of you who've had the mod done to your .22 ... and those who own a .22 plus ... is it a mod that makes that amp that much better that you'd recommend my doing it?

Any help appreciated,
JD

I can’t comment on experience pre and post ad I only ever owned it with the mod. And it was killer. I can’t imagine not having the mod in there if you want a lead or rhythm tone with some gain.

I found my 22+ to be a lot more usable than my 22 because of the Lead Master. A preset volume for the lead mode doesn't really work. The GEQ on the 22 helped, but I still found the lead mode on the 22 to be way too loud at home and a little too quiet with a band.
