Simul,s outer

Post by Henz » Mon Mar 04, 2019 1:28 am

I'm just replacing my outer sockets on my DRG. It's a C+. I tube roll tween 6L6's and EL34's. What screen resistor value would anyone recommend? 470's, 2.7k's, 1k's? I'm gonna tie pins 1 and 8 together. My bias resistors are 220k on outer, and 2.2k on inner. Peace. Jim

I think 470s were used until pentode operation on the Mark IIIs and IVs came in. Then they used 2.7K. Someone out there might know the difference though. I'd stick with 470 though.

For context Henz's power board is missing pin 1 on the power sockets, hence the reason to replace them. Just copy other pictures of simul IICs+ which have a pin 1 present on the power sockets. KISS principle: Keep it simple, stupid.
