Hi,
I hear that tube amps sound better when they are turned way up but my DC-3 too loud to do that. Can I remove a couple of the tubes to reduce the overall volume or will this ruin my amp? I guess the newer Mesas such as the lonestar special have a switch to turn off some of the tubes. Would removing the tubes accomplish the same thing?
