I've just picked up a Mark III again after not having one for a while.

All is great except the pull deep makes a loud pop when engaged.
According to my amp repair guy a cap c203 is shorted.

He commented the markings had worn off on it and the design of it was different to normal caps he keeps.

Obviously i'll try get in touch with Mesa but they are not there till Monday, i've tried the local distributor but i've nor heard back (i'm in the UK)

If anyone can advise i'd be most grateful

I have my chassis on the bench...I cannot find what you are looking for...can you give me an idea of where it is located? Maybe a pic or two...cheers, Paul

Thanks Paul, Its still on his bench.

I’ll try go round in the morning and get some pics.

Any 10uf-15uf polarized tantalum molded capacitor will work. There is not alot of voltage on that Pull Deep circuit since its only a cathode mod. The one in your picture is a Kemet 15uf/25v Tantalum bypass cap...Most if not all Mark III's use them there. Can't confirm that it is C203 though since I don't have a chassis open in front of me. I will confirm tomorrow...

That's fantastic, thanks so much. He wasn't around today to get a picture, but now we can get one ordered.
