Anyone know how much it is to add a graphic EQ these days? There is a non-EQ red stripe combo near my parents' place on CL for CHEAP. I could drive down there and snap the thing up during a visit.

According to a post I found, it was $450 for it before 2009 if you want MB to do the work just on the EQ. With shipping, servicing, etc it was $700, again before 2009.

Unless that's a REALLY good deal, it's probably cheaper to find a mark III with the stock EQ.

Not to mention the word on the street is the EQ faceplates are gone at this point? Some were found, some were used, I guess you have to call or email to find out now.

Oh wow. Yeah, I'll just find one with the EQ built in already.

If it's cheap I might just get a Mesa 5 band EQ pedal and stick it in the fx loop.
