Narrowed it down to ldr's (optocouplers) does any one know where to get these ldr's?

Thanks

Be aware Mk III uses a mix of VTL5C1/VTL5C4's
The ones near V1 can be a PITA to replace

Out of curiosity, how did U diagnose the failing opto ?

I'd suspect the relay before an opto..

How much "popping" are we talking - as bad as the IIB ??

I don't think the mk3 has relays, I believe it uses ldr's for Chanel switching for low noise.

there's a relay but I'm not home to see the schematic.
greying memory says the R2 channel, but a perusal of schem will nail it in a heartbeat.
