IIc+ power on, no sound

So my c+ randomly died today. it was working just fine yesterday. went to turn it on today, flipped the standby to on and then.....no sound. not even a crackle, just the whir of the fan. the light is on the tubes are glowing but nothing is happening. any ideas?

This just happened to one of my c+'s. I had to replace the phase inverter. Hopefully your problem is that easy to fix.

Thanks for the tip. was it the whole unit or just the tube?

Apart from trying different tubes etc another thing to try is run a patch cable between the effects loop and see if that makes a difference.I know it sounds obvious but have you tried another cable,make sure the speaker jack hasn't got unplugged etc.Sometimes it's the most obvious things.

I only had to install a new tube in v5.
