I have a first version of the Mark IV combo I bought new around 1991. The factory foot switch recently stopped working reliably. The lights on the footswitch randomly blink as if there is a short and it won't change channels when I click the foot switches. The amp will manually change channels just fine when using the channel select knob on the back of the amp. Is it simple to fix this, or do I need to send it back to Mesa Boogie?

Is there a alternate DIN type switch that Only does channel switching. I do not need that multi-button switch..

Given the age, it could be something as trivial as corroded contacts or switches. If so, a touch of contact spray could help.

Those foot switches are not exactly rocket science...worst comes to worst, any local tech should be able to fix it.
