I'm currently debating on going midi with my rig and throwing everything in a rack. I want to use my jc120 for my cleans and the clean channel of my mark iii and blend them. I also want to be able to turn my eq off my mark for solo stuff. This is basically what I want,

Clean sound= jc120 and mark iii channel one
Heavy sound=mark iii with eq on
Solo= mark iii with eq off and tube screamer up front.
I'll have a phaser and a flanger that I want dedicated to the jc120 only (before rather than fx loop the just don't sound as good in the loop) and somewhere near future a g major 2 for both amps. I will have a parametric eq always in the mesa loop.

Sorry if this doesn't make sense as I'm trying to figure it out myself. I'd just hate to buy a amp gizmo for one channel switch and turning eq off but if I have to get the gizmo I'll make good use if it cause I'll run all my jc120 options and my mesa options. This might be the best choice cause I would like to add more stomp boxes later maybe. Thanks in advance
