HI, NEW TO THIS BOARD, I OWN A MARK III BLUE STRIPE,HARDWOOD,WICKER,SIMUL CLASS,FULLY LOADED SERIAL#24297,ANYWAY I CANT FIND THE DATE ANYWHERE ON THE CHASSIS,ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA OF THE DATE IT WAS BUILT,AND WHEN WERE MARK III'S DISCONTINUED.THANKS!

I understand that Mesa is happy to help you can write them an email they are supposed to keep pretty good records. I have yet to see anything published that tells you the date. Lots of great info this website http://homepage.mac.com/mesaboogie/welcome.html

Most MKIII's have a date wrote in black marker on the under side where the tubes are. At least mine is that way. It says MB May 5, 1985. You might need to turn the amp upside down, and use a flash light to see it. Even my older S.O.B. has it!

It could also be INSIDE the chassis.

My blue stripe serial # is 229XX , and is dated 9/88...
and yes, it's written in pen near V1 on the chassis....
