MARK IV FOR LIFE!!!!!!

Cool...glad I could help! As for the Children of Bodom tone, once your guitar is tuned that low, you're in the ballpark already. Watch out for too much bass EQ with low tunings as it can get mushy in a hurry, even with a MarkIV. As always (at least with tube amps) volume is your friend! The vast majority of killer rock and metal tones are recorded with the amps pushed near their limits. Attenuators like the HotPlate can help by allowing you to run the amp harder at lower volumes, but there really is no good substitute for the "knock" of a 4x12 moving lots of air. Crank it up!
