Greetings,

I bought an used Mark IV B short head back in April. After a gig I noticed that the lead drive knob got sheared off somehow. I ordered a new pot from Mesa Boogie and had it installed. All seemed fine but I have noticed that every now and then it seems like I loose some gain or output, like the amp gets more quiet. This is easily resolved by putting the amp on standby or powering off and back on. Then it use fine. At a rehearsal the other day I bet I lost 70% of my volume. I flipped ti to standby and back and was fine. I honestly don't know if the pot has anything to do with it or if it's just something random that is now occurring. I have changed the power tubes only. I am not sure how old the pre-amp tubes are since buying it used.

Anyone have any ideas? It is frustrating and I'm worried it will cut out a my next show.

Thanks!
