Got a Mark IV combo. A bit heavy.
Is it really necessary to buy the MB rackmount kit? If I got a well made flight case, what's to stop me just mounting the chassis through 4 holes in the top, with backing plates like are on it anyway?
The extra weight of a well made ply flightcase (as opposed to SKB type) would be partially offset by NOT having the weight of the steel rackmount kit.
Any thoughts?
