Metallica tones HELP!

Hi i new to the board.
I have a mesaboogie MarkIV shorthead. i have messed around with it but i just can seem to get a real GOOD Master Of Puppets tone. Any buddy got some ideas???

Try the classic V setting on the Lead Channel for starters.
Full power/ Triode/ Simulclass... Crank your amp to 8 on the master.
8 on the preamp.
8 on Gain
8 on Drive
Set eq knobs to desired tone
...
Get (4) Oversized recto cabs.
Use an EMG 81 and 85 in a high end ESP...

Only another Mark IV for the other stack. 4ohm min load right?

2 4ohm outs on the mark IV..
4 8ohm cabs, 2 chains of 2 cabs running parrallel...

At any rate Grandor is pretty close.
Try this...
Gain 7-8, Drive 8, Bass 5.5, Mid 4.5, Treb 5, Pres to taste, "V" the EQ, Preamp at least half way, Master right at the threshold where your neighbors will call the cops. The louder you turn it up, the closer you're going to get. Flatten out the "V" a bit as you turn up.
