I'm gathering info about the Mark IV amps (WTB a Mark IV B head), but I cannot find any specific differences between the widebody and short heads.
All I notice is a set of extra switches (EQ/ Lead Voicing) on the front panel (left next to the output volume) of the widebody. I have found the voicing switch on the backside, but where's the other one?

There is no difference really. The EQ and voicing switches are on the front like you said and if you get a short body they will be on the back. There really isnt much difference, only placement.
 
The wide body also has a mains light on the front, a different handle and more room to store the footswitch lead inside !! :D
