After about an hour of playing the other day, My DC-3 combo was running really hot in the back. No redplating or other changes that i could see... but smoking hot and there started to be "doubling effect" in the clean channel and the distortion became grainy and unnatural...

Since then, I haven't experienced any similar instances.

Do these amps run Hot?
Maybe I just didn't have enough ventilation for the back?

Quite normal for these to run hot. As long as it is not red-plating, you should be fine.
