Sorry if this is a dumb question, but upon taking apart my DC-5 out of pure curiosity I found a pleasant surprise, or at least what could be one - a Mercury Magnetics output transformer! Before I get too excited, though - were Mesas ever built with MM's from the factory? This amp had been modded before (solo boost and volume taper also pictured below) so I figured maybe this had been done as well if it is in fact, an aftermarket part. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

That's expensive iron! I'll bet those transformers cost more than my DC-3. And the Thiele cab that came with it!

Classic tone transformer seems to have a real classic build with paper layer, as real vintage ones

but witch one would be good for a dc5 ? don't know

Never seen this DC mod. Anyone have any info? Seems a much better use for that very unused (on mine anyway) slave jack & I'm assuming pot also.
