Hello all.

Has anyone tried a combo with mini rectifier cab underneath? Or any other cabs that are a good match? also, would I plug in to the 4 ohm jacks to use both the combo speaker (8 ohms) and an 8 ohm extension cab? I might be able to pick up a mini rec cab for cheap, but I'll have to drive over 300 miles round trip to pick it up and if the survey says "doesn't work" I'm not gonna take the trip. I don't want to go all that way for nothing. And I mean there is nothing else there.

Thanks

Mac

Yes it will work just fine. You would use the 2 4ohm jacks if you are going to use the combo speaker as well.

See page 13 of the manual. http://mesaboogie.com/manuals/Dual%20Cal%20DC-5.pdf

I have a DC-5b combo and I usually run it through a Marshall 1960B with V30/75s in an X-pattern. Sounds bitchin!

If I want a more "Fendery" sound, I just use the combo speaker.
