Screw to nowhere?

Post by MegaBoogie » Thu May 22, 2014 6:43 pm

Any fellow DC-2 (possibly other DC's) owners have any idea what this random and quite long screw is for? It has always just been fairly loose in my amp and just runs threaded through the bottom of the amp chassis and then hits the top of the head cabinet, nothing else is attached to it. This is it screwed in as far as it will go.

That is the chassis tension screw, found in nearly all MESA combo amps. It helps with chassis vibration in a combo and should be finger-tightened only. Thanks!

That makes perfect sense! Thanks! Mine isn't a combo but i am sure it is still the exact same thing.
