Is the 2-button footswitch for the newer DC5 for channel & EQ or reverb & EQ?
I've seen both versions aftermarket (Voodooman & Switchdoctor), so I'm confused.

If I get the channel/EQ one, do I use a TRS cable & plug in the front panel footswitch jack and set the rear switch to "eq assign" and get a single switch for the rear reverb jack?

Or... do I use the single channel switch it came with in front, and get the reverb/eq switch and use a TRS cable & plug into the reverb jack on the back?

Hope someone can clarify....

Original DC amplifiers have a two position toggle switch on the front panel that provides manual switching from Rhythm to Lead. These models also feature a five position rotary switch on the rear panel for manual EQ selection.

Later model DC's have a three positon toggle switch on the front panel which is labeled(top down): Rhythm - Lead - Lead/EQ. These models feature a two positon toggle switch on the rear panel for EQ channel assignment.

The 2 button FS is for Channel and EQ, seen here: http://mesa.stores.yahoo.net/fcdcn.html

The single button Reverb footswitch can seen here: http://mesa.stores.yahoo.net/fcr.html

I hope this helps!

Thanks AB, I know I have the 'later' model, just not sure which switch & where to plug 'em in!
(see my original post)

Thanks AB, that's what I needed to know!
I'll assume I need the TRS stereo cable for the front, and a standard mono cable for the reverb in back.

Perfect!

THIS is why I joined this board as soon as I got the DC5! :)
