Do DCs in combo cabs need a fan? I always wondered why lots of Marks of old had fans, yet many did not. What was Boogie's rationale? And to the point: would a DC5 benefit at all? Yeah, I know my EL84 amps run hotter than my 6L6s, and don't have fans...

I don't think so. The DC5 and 10 don't get nearly as hot as a DC3. A DC3 yes.

You could put one in, but, I don't think there would be anything to gain.
 
Yeah, that's what I'm "guessing" ...but then again it leaves me wondering why some Marks had em, yet some didn't.

4 power tubes and 2 rectifier tubes generate a lot more heat than just 2 6L6s.
