My rig is pretty basic. I use a DC-5A through a Marshall 1960A 4x12. Pedal board is Boss Tuner -> Boss Chorus -> Wah pedal. Board is in front of the amp. I'm looking for a noise suppressor because sometimes I get some feedback at high volumes and I'm playing with a rather loud band right now. What do you guys use and how do you have it hooked up (board or in loop)?

The MXR Smartgate works pretty well. I also like the internal noise gate on the Boss ME-70 too.

MXR Smart Gate here as well. I almost never turn it off, unless I am really trying to sustain a note.

I used to use the Boss NS-2 but these days I've learned to just turn down the gain just a touch until it's to the point I can just mute it or step out of the amps sweet spot. Those beasts have more gain on tap than is usually needed.
