hey folks! found this board after scouring the intertubes for info bout my dc-5 head. maybe one of yall can help me.

i have a problem with the gain knob on the lead channel. whenever it goes past seven it seems to short out a bit and lose gain. if i place a wedge under the knob, it sounds fine and works as normal. seems like i just have a problem with the pot. any suggestions?
 
Sounds like the pot to me as well. The other guitar player in my band had the same exact issue with a Mark IV and it was the pot, replace and it should be good to go
 
aint tried the contact cleaner. may be a quick fix before takin it in to get the pot changed.
