I just got a DC-3 recently for the same price that DC-2's are going for around my area. I just did the FX Loop mod, where I disconnected the while wire from the pot and taped/isolated it. I then unsoldered the orange lead from the pot and soldered it to the red, which is on the center lug of the pot. If I turn the volume of my effect on the loop all the way down and strum a chord, I still hear some dry signal. Therefore, if I turn the effect volume all the way up, I hear some slight chorusing effect. Should I remove the red/orange cable from the center lug and just solder them together?

I tried this on a Peavey 6505 and when I turn the volume down on my effect and strum, I don't hear anything. It sounds like there is some signal leakage, but I don't know where.

Thanx,
Pete

btw, I'm using the 4 cable method with a Line 6 Helix, but only using the Helix for effects.
