Mark III green stripe

I have the opportunity to buy a green stripe head for $1800. It's in great condition with new tubes. Just wondering if that's a fair price?

"fair price" for a III depends on a number of factors... a little over a year ago you could pick one up for ~$1k, market factors and the Gibson acquisition pushed asking prices up to crazy levels and now they seem to be coming back down a bit. It's certainly been a moving target WRT asking prices and maybe fair if you're taking a market snapshot today.

Are they worth it? Well that's a different question. 8)

Got mine barely days ago.

Can't stop playing it, sounds superb, had knew this before I would have directly purchased this beast many years ago.
