I didn't buy this amp for this sound (probably won't play in a metal band ever again), but it's just too much fun to resist:

Surprised that Lead Drive on "7" seemed to hit the nail on the head. First try on "10" was waaay too much, second try on "8" still too much. A stock Mark III has gobs of gain!
 
Thanks for listening. Yeah, I bought this amp not knowing what to expect, and it has really completely surpassed expectations. Haven't played much guitar in 10 years, and sold my Mark IV head/Marshall V30 cab back then. For me, this really takes the cake over the Mark IV- and I loved the Mark IV!

Thank goodness I only need clean and lead, and I can get both tones that I love with the same settings! 8)
