Pretty much what the title says has anyone had there amp converted from a drg to hrg or visa versa? I remember asking Boogie if it was possible to do that on a Mark III and it was possible. Just want to see what you guys think.

I asked Mike B about this and it is indeed possible. But the simulclass OT’s they have now is wired pentode and the original OT used in the IIC+ was wired triode.
Don’t know about going from simulclass to 100/60 w though.

I'm reasonably sure that you'd need a different output transformer when changing between simulclass and 100 watt models.

Thanks for the input it seems DRGs are a little easy to come by than HRGs so I was thinking finding a DRG and switching it over. Ughhh that never ending search that we're all in to get a C+ haha

Just to checking- the HRG is said to be tighter, better for metal rhythm?

And the DRG's are slightly looser, better for lead?
