I just bought a Mark II I'm pretty certain is a IIA -- preamp-out/power-in and slave out on the back instead of the fx loop of IIB and later, and a serial number in the 4000s -- but all the literature that accompanied it is all about the IIB. I just bought it from the original owner. He had the original receipts in the original Mesa envelope along with all this literature that talks about the IIB. But he says this is what came with the amp when he bought it in 1979. Did Mesa start printing up IIB manuals before they ran out of IIAs? Or is the seller confused and just somehow obtained IIB manuals elsewhere?

My MKIIA is 49xx and I got a MKIIA “manual”. Here is a link to a pdf copy of mine.
