So my IIC+ can switch between clean and lead modes fine if I push/pull the lead drive knob.

I recently noticed that the foot switching DOES not work. Clean is there but on the lead mode it gets very quiet (you can hear something, but it's barely audible).

I've eliminated cables and foot switches as the problem. The tinfoil test works - anything plugged into the foot switch plug works fine, in that things appear to switch, lead mode just isn't working.

Like I said, lead mode works fine if I use the pull pot instead.

Any ideas on possible root cause? Trying to figure out if I should ship it back to Petaluma or see a local tech here, but if someone's seen this before and know's what the cause is, I'd love to hear your input.

Almost certain that it's just a bad soldering, but I cannot tell for sure, any local tech will find out. But sending it to Petaluma will add a complete healthcheck by the MAN himself. Might cost you some extra but the amp will benefit for it.
