Yep, there are those Boogie mids. Sounds good! I should experiment with running my purple stripe III+ without the EQ.

Presence on 10? Whoa. That's unusual. Mark IIIs are notoriously bright.
If I was using an eq I'd have the presence down around 2.

Not at all. I was really shocked when I read presence=10; I would have never guessed it. Maybe, as you said, the key is in the lack of onboard EQ.
