I think that this rig is best for me. I like that scooped "Metallica sound".

Here is my rig:

Amp: Mesa Boogie Mark III
Cab: Bogner 412
Speakers: Celestion V30/G12H30
Mics: Shure SM57/Sennheiser MD421
EQ: MXR M-108
Guitar: Schecter Blackjack ATX
Pickups: EMG 81/60

Nice. Just more proof dispelling the myth that they ran their boogies into Marshall JCM800 power sections.

I thought that the Boogie/Marshall setup was true, but only for the first album where they had Boogies. My memory is that Master of Puppets was the first album featuring a Boogie amp (the previous records were all Marshall). I thought that it was just that album where they did the trick of using the Boogie as a pre-amp and the Marshall as poweramp. Then, by the time of AJFA, I thought that they had dumped the Marshalls and were using the Boogie's built-in poweramp.

My understanding. Could totally be wrong.
