Hey All,
I just built a four button footswitch to handle all the switching with my MkIII and found an interesting issue. It has to do with switching into the Lead channel when R1 (Clean) is engaged. The gain seemed to be low and a bit thin sounding, so I immediately thought I had a tube going bad. I then switched from R1 (Clean) to R2 (Crunch) while still in the Lead channel and VOILA! There's my gain!
I guess the use of all three modes wasn't considered, and that's what led to the MkIV two channel/four mode setup.
