I'd like to have a footswitch ONLY to change from the clean rhythm (not the second rhythm channel) to the lead channel. No EQ, no reverb, no R2. Just clean to lead switching. One button, but with a light preferably.

I know that I can actually buy a footswitch from Mesa specifically for this. I was wondering if there's a company that makes a really, really small footswitch that I can put on my pedal board and not take up a lot of room (just off to the side somewhere). Anyone know?

I think pretty much almost any simple footswitch will work. shop ebay, I'm sure you can find one, if not build your own.

Follow these directions this is about 4 post down from yours.http://www.forum.grailtone.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=51329

DaveC69 recently posted a very thorough explanation for a IIB The same pedal will work for a III. You can get all the parts you need for this build here>> http://www.pedalpartsplus.com/ Or at Radio shack.
By ordering these parts:
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062279
http://www.pedalpartsplus.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PPP&Product_Code=9000&Category_Code=SWI
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062328
Or this if you want a metal enclosure. http://www.pedalpartsplus.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PPP&Product_Code=1009&Category_Code=ENC12
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103802

And some stranded wire. Everything's available at Radio shack except for the Switch. They may have them I didn't see any but that doesn't mean they couldn't order you one. You could get all the parts for around $15.

Or Payne labs who advertises here makes one for $19.99. It's always good to use people who advertise here.

Also you could use switch doctor.
