Tone: Punchy=Gain...? Help?

Hey everyone, just got a question about basic tone on the mark IV. I'm using a bb preamp and like a lot of people I love my gain, but more specifically I love the PUNCH it gives to the sound. If you're following already that's awesome... Anyway, I was trying to figure out if there was any other way besides cranking the gain up to get that punch and thickness behind the notes. (String changes aren't an option, I'm using 10 hybrids). Maybe my settings will give a good idea...

Lead gain:7.8
Lead treble: 5.8
Bass: 2
Mid: 5.8
Drive: 10 pulled
Presence: 4
Master: 3.5
classic v eq with harmonics, simulclass pentode.
Anyone out there have BB settings they are in love with that could possibly help?
