can anyone enlighten me on what the 1/4" jack on the underside of the chassis is for?

It's serial is pre 800, and was built in october of 1990.

I believe it is the satellite EQ remote ?

Page 10 of the manual.

I do know it is part of the satellite.

that manual is for the Mark IV "B"

This jack is underneath where the loop select switch is, between the receptacle for the footswitch and the output transformer.

I own an ~ A~No.12.
See how the jack is by the EQ switch and it says "remote" with the arrow.

I just point to the manual so you could see what it said about the remote. :)

Correct. You connect a cable from that jack to, I think, the EQ switch jack on a Simul Satellite. This is so that when you engage the EQ on the Mark IV, the EQ on the Simul Satellite also switches on.

ok, makes sense, especially now that I can actually look at the amp, it says Remote on the back with a tiny arrow pointing down
