Hello, I have an F-30 that has a problem. According to the tech that looked at it he gave me a note that reads the following:

It says there's a short in the 6.3 dc filament circuit, and that with the dc disabled and filament voltage jumped to v1/v2 the amp will play but it's noisy. Also the ac power is currently disconnected to protect it from being hurt by accident.

I can't afford for him to repair it so I could use some assistance as what I should be looking for. I have worked on and repaired many amps over the years but the repairs were generally replacing burnt up parts like resistors, caps, bridge rectifiers or doing bias type work.

Thanks...

Sounds like there might be a shorted diode. Does the channel switching work?
