Hi, I am curious if anyone has tried this combination. I picked up a Marshall 8412 cab and gigged out with it last week. Very happy with sound/tone. Now I have a chance to get a Mesa 2x12 Recto cab, Horizontal in mint condition w/tags still on, for $300. I play blues and classic rock, mostly clean and with a little crunch. I would like the 2x12 for smaller venues. Thank-you in advance for any input. Dutch :)

bought cab, could not pass on that deal. Can't pick-up till after 30 day wait, per Boston Police. They make shops hold used gear for thirty days to make sure items are not stolen.

2x12 recto cabs are super defined and tight with a great low mid thump. I've tried to replace mine in order to downsize my rig recently, just can't bring myself to get rid of it as nothing else is up to snuff. Congrats!

$300 mint!!!
The speakers alone are worth that.
Remember also that it will sound better and better as it ages IMO.
I guess cops aren't so bad after all
