I'm using a Boss DD-20 digital delay in the effects loop and don't know whether it should be set to -10 or +4. The manual doesn't say and I can't tell from the bits of the schematics I've seen which would work better. :?:

You probably won't be able to tell the difference unless you clip the DD20. The F50 FX signal is controlled by the Master, so you won't know how high you need to set the input level of the DD20 unless you run the F50 Master at the loudest level you expect.

Mesa loops tend to run hot (even more than +4), so I would go for +4.

I use the same DD-20 over the F-50 FX loop and have set the Output to +4 dB.

Since I like to use the Sound-on-Sound function but reccon that the output of the DD-20 is quite low (in SOS mode) I set the output to +4 dB and get nice, clear, results also with the other Delay modes!

btw.: does anyone have experience with changing the V3 (FX Send/Return) tube? I replaced mine with a SPAX-7 since my Morley Power Wah can be quite noisy, now with the quieter Tube I get good results!
