I HAVE NOTICED I AM GETTING A POPPING SOUND WHEN I FLIP MY AMP TO THE STANDBY MODE, WHAT COULD THIS BE.
 
What is up with the dude above? Anyway, my f50 started doing this also. I'd like to know myself.

I TOOK IT TO THE SHOP AND IT WAS A BAD CAPACITOR THAT NEEDED REPLACED ITS FINE NOW.
 
I had the same recently, after searching it turned out to be a bad/loose connection on the on/off switch, I replaced them (on/off and standby switch) with a couple of fender type switches from a tube company and it's quite as a mouse now
