I've read/heard that you can take out two tubes in a push/pull 100W amp and safely turn it into a 50W amp.
True?
Which tubes? (2&3, 1$4?, 1&2 etc. . .?)
 
Yep. Two inside is what I usually go with, but don't expect a massive volume drop, I believe it's only a 4 db drop in volume. You will get more breakup at gig volume.
